Travel was a big part of my life growing up and it’s from my parents’ own love for it that I’ve also found so much joy in travelling. I was born in Paris, France but grew in Texas and with the majority of my family in France, we found ourselves spending time in Europe every year. It was also so important to my parents that I spent time in Asia and understood my family roots in Vietnam. In my adult life, I’ve taken these same values and shared them with my husband – every year prioritizing time together and exploring different parts of the world.
My love for fashion came at a young age. As a toddler, I was drawn to sparkly sequins and embellishments. I accessorized my outfits with my mom’s jewelry and lipstick and put on fashion shows with my Barbie dolls. I eventually found myself working in fashion, both at contemporary brands and in luxury. My time at Gucci opened my eyes to a whole new world of fashion – travelling to Milan four times a year, relishing in the passion for the Italian house, and experiencing the not so glamorous hustle and grind behind the scenes to make all the magic happen. I finally found myself in startup fashion life, rooting myself back at home in NYC and finding my way back to travel for pleasure and not business.
Along the way, with travels or not, food has been a constant indulgence. A love language that I learned from my mom. I love to cook, both learning new recipes and making family recipes at home. But I also love to go out to eat, whether that’s discovering new places in New York or trying new foods in other countries.
