The Hamptons Guide: Where To Eat In Sag Harbor

Within the concentrated town of Sag Harbor, there are plenty of options for a delicious meal from seafood to sushi and pastas. Sag Harbor has a quieter charm and doesn’t attract the same seasonal, young crowd you get out in Montauk. This makes it a perfect weekend getaway from the city where you can get R&R, coming back to NYC feeling refreshed rather than in need of a detox.

What are the best restaurants in Sag Harbor?

You’ve found a place to stay for the weekend, packed for your Sag Harbor weekend away, now where to eat.

TUTTO IL GIORNO

Right in the center of Sag Harbor’s Main street, Tutto Il Giornio combines chic designs and delicious pastas. The outdoor seating is surrounded by greenery and bistro lights while the interior feels like you are dining in your good friend’s well curated living room and dining room. The overall feel is upscale yet welcoming and makes you want to stay longer. The pastas are some of the best – their rigatoni, though different in sauce and style, is one that in a personal opinion can rival that of Carbone’s.

LE BILBOQUET

See and be seen. Le Bilboquet in Sag Harbor is the epitome of stylish summer dining by the waterfront. The space is perfect for an intimate date night, a picturesque girls’ dinner, or an eventful group dinner. The space and food alike are elegant. The standout dish is the Cajun Chicken, which is what they are known for, but don’t sleep on the steak tartare as an entrée. Sip on champagne, enjoy the waterfront dining, do some people watching, and savor a delicious meal.

SEN

SEN is right off of Main Street in Sag Harbor, serving up sushi and Japanese favorites. The food is reliably good and the atmosphere is unpretentious. Aside from creative rolls, there are also a la carte nigiri and sashimi options. Enjoy some sake recommended by the certified sake sommelier and some delicious sushi and Japanese dishes.

DOPO LA SPIAGGIA

Dopo La Spiaggia is another great option for Italian in Sag Harbor, focused on upscale Tuscan fare. Translating to “after the beach”, the vibe of the restaurant is light and welcoming with great service and a familial ambiance. The outdoor garden is charming and perfect for a breezy meal followed by walks along the marina. The pastas here are exceptional and are one of the many reasons that keep people coming back.

LULU KITCHEN & BAR

Lulu Kitchen and Bar centers around wood-fired cooking with a Mediterranean focused menu. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and casual with a low-lit setting to enjoy a selection of raw bar items as well as simple and comforting dishes from their wood fire grill.

PROVISIONS NATURAL FOODS MARKET & ORGANIC CAFÉ

If all the pastas are starting to get too much, balance it out with healthier eats from Provisions. In addition to their selection of exclusively organic product and snacks, there are casual and healthy options for pick up in the front of the market. Here you can find sandwiches and wraps that are heavy on the veggies, bowls, and smoothies.

ESTIA’S LITTLE KITCHEN

A roadside gem loved by the locals, Estia’s has a great selection of Mexican-American food for breakfast and lunch ranging from breakfast burritos/tacos to bowls. Located between Sag Harbor and Bridgehampton, the comfort food at Estia’s uses locally grown produce.
