Italy is one of the most visited countries in Europe (just behind France) and for good reason. In northern Italy you have a fashion destination in Milan, the gorgeous Lake Como, historic Rome, and the canals of Venice to the Tuscan wine country and Florence – home to a history of arts and architecture. The Italian Riviera is a popular destination with picturesque Cinque Terre while southern Italy is one of the most sought-after summer getaways – home to the Amalfi Coast, Ischia, Capri, and Sicily to name a few.
Taxi’s are prevalent in cities across Italy but be mindful that Uber’s may not exist in many destinations. (Even in cities like Milan, where it is listed as operating, you won’t find many available and any one you do find will have long waits and high charges.) To travel around Italy, you can take the train or book domestic flights.
