ALL BLACK OUTFITS

Wearing all black can make life so easy because you’ll look effortlessly chic without much thought. And done right, it can be just as much of a statement as wearing bold prints or bright colors. It’s all about the silhouette.

It’s easy to keep an all black outfit classic. The Norma Kamali turtleneck maxi dress is a new favorite. Dress it up or dress it down – it’s a great staple in your closet and is such a versatile piece. Wear it with a blazer and ballet flats for a refined yet casual look. Wear it on its own with pointed-toe heels for an understated look. Or belt it and wear it with heeled ankle boots like the ones from Loeffler Randall and statement earrings for something in between. The Celine Triomphe belt goes perfectly with this dress. The Numero Neuf Mini bag in black shearling from Polene is also a great seasonal handbag with a terndy silhouette but understated look. I wore almost this exact outfit on a date night with my husband and highly recommend the Norma Kamali dress.

You can also make a statement wearing all black – it’s all about the silhouette and cuts. The Mara Hoffman Juana top in black adds a bit of drama with its sweetheart neckline and slightly oversized sleeves. Wear this with A.W.A.K.E. Mode’s Pailette-Fringed maxi skirt with circular cutouts for even more of a statement. This skirt can also be a great piece for the summertime. It’s a bold style that is sure to turn heads. Since the top and skirt are already show-stoppers, I’d keep the accessories more on the classic side with Savette’s symmetry pochette and Schutz’s Cendi pointed toe pumps. For jewelry, no need to add more drama with statement earrings – keep it on the simpler side with studs and throw on a cuff for a little extra accessorizing.
